Hey
I am trying to model the flow coming from a welding nozzle during arc welding. My model consists of three volumes: a control volume, a solid volume representing the plate and a small energy zone representing the arc. I have set the heat zone so that it is an energy source and when I solve my problem this zone reaches a temperature that is expected (approx 3000K). However both the control volume and the plate remain at ambient temperature (293K) despite being right next to an extremely hot heat source. It is as if there is no transfer of heat between the volumes. If anybody could offer some help on this that would be great! |
