Sir,
I am working on air-water type two-phase flow. I want to capture slug flow using FLUENT. I have tried lot more. any how i cannot get it done.
For the slug flow i calculate the corresponding gas and liquid velocities from the available FLOW PATTERN MAP. These velocities are input conditions and outlet condition is pressure outlet. K-E model is used for turbulence. Energy is on.
I got converged result but that does not show slug pattern.
Will you please suggest missing link?
any reply from your side will help me.

thank you,

thanks

Hi zainab

I have simplified my model after going trough the literature so it's not a slug flow anymore. Currently I'm modelling the countercurrent (gas-liquid) flow through the absorber column with the packed bed inside using Eulerian approach.
So I'm not sure if I can somehow help you. However Im pleasd to answer some questions if you have any.

cheers

Thank you kox for interest
I can not get the slug, where it must always being some level of water at the bottom of the horizontal pipe and the flow generally separated into regions with periodically being either water completely or air region above the level of water, do you understand me?, I get un uniform distribution it is not have any known region.

Hi Zainab in-order to get slugs you need to increase the velocity of gas for example if your current gas velocity is 5 m/s you need to double it or make it 14 m/s ? I hope this assist you and if you have further questions you can ask me here is my email address khalidb77@gmail.com?
