Folks, does anyone have experience running Xming with Gambit? My exceed license has expired.
I am running Gambit on a number of PCs/laptops with Windows XP. Most times I get the message "unable to open display". The only times I have made it work are on computers where I have NOT uninstalled Exceed. On these computers I get the license expired message from exceed and I am certain exceed is not running - and then gambit opens up running with xming. starting gambit up with -device x11 option makes things work better - but I have never got gambit and xming to communicate on a computer where I have uninstalled exceed. Any ideas? |

I'm afraid that I can't help you. It's strange because Xming on my PC works fine, or at least it displays Gambit, but windows are a bit massy. I've never used the Exceed. And since I've been using Linux ...

I have the same problem. My software program works fine w/ Exceed. If I tried to use Xming to run my software program, it won't work only if Exceed is uninstalled. Please help.
