Dear friends, I would like to apply a heat flux BC at some walls which is function of Temperature. Could you help me to write UDF for this case, example Heat flux= aT^2 where a is constant and T is temperature. many thanks shannag

Hi,

If you have a look at the FLUENT UDF User's manual (if you dont have one just google it and it will show up somehwere), there is an example there that sets a velocity profile BC (pg. 3-4 on the 6.1 version), you effectively are going to write the exact same thing, only the line which contains F_PROFILE for you will have your heat flux bc.

use something like C_T(c,tc) to get the cell temperature while you are looping through all the cells.

hope that helps

Agi
