dynamic mesh problem

Hi! I have got a problem with a dynamic mesh simulation. It is a 2D problem. A horizontal wall (=valve) moves down into a rectangle (= pipe) by an cg_motion UFD. (it should be somehow a piston valve). The motion itself works but the update of the mesh is not satisfying. There are no additional nodes made on the vertikal sides of the valve. It is always the same number and the cells just get bigger. Does anybody knows which settings have to be made, that additional nodes are created (maybe in Gambit?) I have already tried many ways but I haven't found a solution.
Thank you for your help!! Chris D. |

The problem should be in the minimum and maximum size of the cells allowed, specified in the dynamic mesh zone definition. How did you set up the mesh motion? Try to lower the maximum value.

i think you didn't put any value on adjecent cell size when u setup the dynamic mesh.
Put some value which near to ur cell size u wish to have. |
