Wind Turbine Dynamic Simulation

Dear all, I have a 2d model of Darrieus Wind Turbine, composed by 1 airfoil in xy plane rotating around z-axis. I have modelled it with a sliding mesh approach for fixed rotational speed and it works well. Now I want to do a dynamic simulation, calculating at each time step the moment on blade and recalcalculating the new rotational speed like :
Omega_New = M_ext / Inertial_Moment * DeltaT + Omega_Old. This process would be implemented with an UDF but I have no idea how to do it. Can someone give me help or indicate a similar UDF? Thanks to All |

I've a problem the same to your,i want use sliding grid method and UDF to handel rotational speed (time-dependent, Omega_New = M_ext / Inertial_Moment * DeltaT + Omega_Old),Do you know how access to rotational speed (as a parameter in UDF) ,which we see in Boundary conditions UGI? how get the thred or ID of air foil surface to calculate momemt ?(or we can use macros get moments on special surface at each time step ?) |
