I am also trying to attain a pressure vs time graph however when i follow CeesH's steps and try to make the point surface in fluent the following error comes up.
Error: Surface creation failed! Error Object: #f I'm new to fluent can someone please tell me how to resolve this issue Thanks in advance |

Please i will appreciate if you will make it more elaborate to me on how to plot a graph of pressure against time. Am working on flow around high speed train in transient steady using inviscid solver. Thanks for your human kindness. |

Describe your problem better!
If you are using a steady state model, there is no time. If you are using a transient model, simply go to "Graphics" and plot your simulation for a specific time. If you wanna plot one variable as a function of time (which I think you want) you have 3 ways: 1- save the cas/dat file every time step( or every 2,3,...) and then open them via another program like Tecplot 2-You can set up an animation BEFORE running your transient simulation via "solution animations" 3- You can also save your data (variable and time step) via a ".out" file in "surface monitors" and then open it in Excel Good luck, Hooman |

It depends on the type of information you would like to have, velocity of a point, average velocity on a line or a surface...based on that, choose the appropriate type ( like vertex average or area-weighted), select the point or surface or area,... and then run your simulation...for the detailed information, you need to read the Ansys Fluent Theory Guide ...
Good luck, H |
