Hello all I'm interested in model Vacuum Infusion Process by using Fluent Software. I have to model resin flow through porous fiber (composite panel). Some problems have occurred. The most important problem is when I use the VOF option; the porous zone option from flow boundary condition almost becomes inactive. So I can't determine viscous resistance and inertial resistance. Only fluid porosity option remains active. Please guide me to implement VOF and Porous Media together. When resin reaches to fiber, heat generation occurs. Another problem is how I can use heat generation. There is only a simple option in the source Terms. I would appreciate all the help I can get and make me able to solve these problems. Thank a lot.

Judpom is on a distinguished road
hello mojtaba,
i'm new at fluent and i encountered recently the same problem : how to set porous parameters when using a VOF model. I might have found a solution : for BC of type fluid, you select mixture and activate the porous zone. Then you select your primary phase and secondary phase, where you can set the porous parameters as usual. I hope it is clear enough... and not too late !
