Dear all
I ran a large eddy simulation of a flow over a urban terrain. After an initial run I checked the results of flow over certain points and found it to be reasonable. I then doubled the viscosity and the inlet velocity. I reran the simulation, then found the flow pattern was similar, as would be expected with the same reynolds number. However the velocities are slightly different at the points. Is this a reasonable result ? Also should the sgs viscosity be doubled also. I assume not since the viscosity of the SGS model is based on the strain rate and has already been changed since the inlet velocity has been changed thanks richard |
