Dear Fluent experts,
I am now trying to simulate the adsoption process in a chromatographic column using adsortion isotherm such as Langmuir isotherm (simple case) but I fail. In fact, I dont know how to make an UDF for the source term of the species on the fluid and stationary phases. Can any one give me suggestions? Thank you so much in advance. Thanh |

its depens to equation which you use,you have a diffusion term and a source term.

Dear Belhadef,
Thank you for your suggestion. In my model I used a source term of species conservation equation. The source term here is the changes of species concentration on the catalyst. However now I have another problem that is I dont know how to set the axis and radial dispersed coefficients of the species (or the fluid phase) to the porous media. Can you give me some idea? Thank you so much in advance! Thanh |

Thanh i am trying to do the same thing, simulate adsorption of water onto silica, i think i have to use user defined scalars or user defined functions but i dont know where to start, can anyone help?
