Default Help required on solar modelling

Hi all,

I'm trying to simulate the effect of solar radiation on a metal enclosure. There is no air flow into the system. When I simulated case using the solar model, I got an info on the solar load which was 0 w/m2. The solar flux is equal to 0 w/m2 even after many iterations. The temperature within the system is less than 45 degC, which is not the same in actual condition. Can anyone help me on this problem.

thanks in advance,

sridhar

Please set radiation properties. If you don't have surface properties then there will be no radiation heat transfer or absorption.... Check the model if it has these details...

Thanks, AJ

Thanks AJ, I have set the radiation properties for the surfaces as opaque, participates in solar ray tracing and absorptivity - visible - 0.78 and IR 0.91. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks, Sridhar
