reported mass flow differs from monitored mass flo

Hello
I am running a simple simulation which includes an inlet and an outlet. I am monitoring the mass flow rate on a graph as well as the residuals. Once the solution has converged the reported mass flow rate on report>surface integrals> inlet /outet etc is considerably higher than the values which were being plotted on the graph. Which one is correct and why is this happening? Thanks |

Do you run solver and postprocessing both in double precision?

Hello BastiL, I'm not sure what you mean when you say double precision?
Please explain? Thanks |

surface integrals at inlet and outlet is correct if ur net mass flow rate is zero.. or very near to zero...

When you start fluent ask for 2ddp (2 dimensions, double precision). If you used an old fluent version, writte
fluent 2ddp on the terminal, good luck |
