I tried to generate a volume mesh, but gambit says that can't do it because have not enough memory. The thing is that I never use more than 60 % of PC's memory . How can I modify the allocated memory for gambit???? Thank you in advanced.

Inactually you need to remesh the surface b4 mesh volume. GAMBIT try to tell you automatic meshing is failed. Just remesh surface with new size, try only triangle on surface , and only tettrahedral on volume. Then.... Good Luck.

Split the geometrical domain in two or more parts, mesh each subdomain and save each mesh in a separate file.
You could try to join the meshes in Fluent ... First try my suggestion on a simple mesh to see if it works. All the best, Paul |

In 32-bit gambit you can only access 4Gb (reality is that this is platform/OS limited to 1.5 - 2Gb). The good news is that Gambit 64-bit is now available in Linux! This will not have memory issues. If you do not have linux, maybe you could create the volume mesh in TGrid (available in 64-bit for windows).
Good luck! |
