LES turbulence decaying in channel

Hi
I am running a channel flow using LES. My problem is that turbulence after developing for a bit starts to decay in channel. And after a while I see zero turbulence in my domain. What can I do under such circumstances to sustain the turbulence. Thank you for your answer. |

Hi Renato
Thank you for your answer. I am using periodic boundary with pressure drop between inlet and outlet. I am using RANS solution as initial condition. Mesh is hexa unstructured with very low YPlus values, below 1. I have half a million cells in my grid. Courant number is 0.6 and the length of channel is 1.6m. Discretisation scheme is central difference. Thanks in advance for your help. |

ok, but when you start with RANS you have some turbulence forming and when you change to LES it dissapear? is it?
