Perforated Plate with Porous Media

I want to model a perforated plate with a Porous Media,how can I set coefficient? How can I decide the direction of porous media?

if your perforations in your plate are uniformly distributed in the plate, then you only need to model one hole. Sparrow wrote a paper about this way back. He was finding the heat transfer coefficient using the sublimation technique, but he was able to justify using one hole using the lampblack oil technique. I replicated the lampblack oil experiment and then verified that with Fluent. This all depends on how your perforations are arranged.

if you are going to try to set the permeability with Fluent you need to have an actual lab model of your porous media. Those values are obtained from pressure drop v's velocity data.
