Hi,
I am modelling a filter in 2D by Fluent. I want the injected particles, bigger than the size of 10 micrometre, should be caught by the filter. But I could not achieve this in my model as the larger particle is not caught by the filter. Can any one help me? Thanks. |

Hi Kath,
I am also trying for the similar problem. I am trying with a screen, and I intend to get particle to be trapped which are having size larger than the screen size. However software dosent understand the real physics. It just shows the flowpath of the particles. now to get the effect of trapping of oversized particle I think probebly you have to write a udf and attach it to the filter boundry condition. If I could manage to get any further updates I will surely inform you. regards, Sushil |
