Hi , i am modelling a 4th stage of an reciprocating compressor using dynamic motion.unlike IC engens ,valves are complicated geometry. if any one has done similar anlysis on reciprocating compressor , i just want to know ,how to simulate valve dynamics or relpace it with something suitable.

check out the IC specific FLUENT tutorials that go through case setup and solving. These include vertical and canted valves that use layering only or remeshing also (respectively)
