Dear all,

I'm having trouble locating the properties for Methyl Butanoate (or more commonly known as Methyl Butyrate) which would be used for my simulation in FLUENT.

The properties of interest is:

Methyl Butanoate liquid

1.Density [kg/m3]

2.Cp [j/kg-k]

3.Thermal Conductivity [w/m-k]

4.Latent Heat [j/kg]

5.Vaporization Temperature [k]

6.Boiling Point [k]

7.Volatile Component Fraction [%]

8.Binary Diffusivity [m2/s]

9.Saturation Vapor Pressure [pascal]

10.Heat of Pyrolysis [j/kg]

It would be of utmost helpful if anybody can send me links to site or references which contain those properties for Methyl butanoate .

Many thanks to all, Cheers Jo

Dear all,

I have found the values for some of the properties but not all. I'll be posting some findings for those who might be needing it, meanwhile I require assistance for some other properties.

The properties of interest is:

Methyl Butanoate liquid

1.Density [kg/m3] : 898

2.Cp [j/kg-k]

3.Thermal Conductivity [w/m-k] : 0.14

4.Latent Heat [j/kg]

5.Vaporization Temperature [k]

6.Boiling Point [k] : 375

7.Volatile Component Fraction [%] : 100

8.Binary Diffusivity [m2/s]

9.Saturation Vapor Pressure [pascal]

10.Heat of Pyrolysis [j/kg]

Cheers, Jo
