Hi everyone,
I am using an UDF for creating a user-defined viscosity. It all worked fine till today. Due to hard-disc space I moved my working-folder to another partition. If I want to load the .cas file now, I always get the error: Openening library "libudf"... Primitive Error at Node 1: open_udf_library: No such file or directory But the directory libudf was copied, too. The strangest thing is now, when I now try to create the .cas-file from the .msh-file again, it's not possible to load the udf. Compiling the udf works, but when i try to load it I get the same error as before. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem? I am working on Linux with FLUENT 6.3 with kind regards Dennis |

You could try the following method:
Define->User Define->Function->Mange Select original udf files and select remove and then copy the .cas and yourudf.c to new location compile again. |

Tahnks for your response. Well the problem is I used "cut/copy" method to move the files to the other partition. So I don't have a Backup with the working file. And if I try to open the .cas-file in the new directory the open_udf_library error accurs and FLUENT freezes so that I can't remove the udf file

Maybe you could use "cut/copy" to move the files back to orinigial location.

I moved the files back to their original location, but even there the same error occurs.

What about resetting where using udf files?
Maybe I'm a little confused about your problem |

Well I am confused, too.
What do you mean with "resetting"? I tried to build up the file again from the existing .msh-file. When I compile the UDF, I don't get an error. But when I try to load the UDF I get the "open_udf_library" error. So at the moment it is not possible to load the UDF to file in the new directory. So I don't understand why FLUENT has such a problem with this new directory |

firstly you should sure that the .cas file and your udf file are in the same folder
Secondly maybe you should set the enviornment variables |
