Hi ,
I was doing comparison of different turbulence models like k-w, k-e and spalart almaras model using fluent. I am planning ot validate my numerical results using the paper by driver and seegmuller. the paper said that the Reynolds value based on momentum thickness is 5000. It also specified the displacement thickness of 1.9 cm. The paper hasnt mentioned any values for turbulent intensity. hw wud I calculate the values of k , w and e for the above models? also, should I give the velocity input at x/H=-4 ? or shud I go even further upstream at a distance of x/H=-12? I know this is a fundamental problem. I am sure someone out there must have dealt with this same problem. thanks in advance. san |
