developed channel artifact

Hi,
I am trying to launch calculations which feature a developed precursor calculation linked to a channel with velocity inlet/pressure outlet. Since the precursor is developed, I expected the profile to remain developed in the channel. However, when I load the profile in my channel, shortly after the inlet I see a decrease in wall shear stress, which do not last long as further behind the value increase again up to the developed channel value. It is quite embarrassing as this introduce an artifact in my calculation, and affect both shear stress and thermal transfer. Has anyone already faced this ? My Reynold is 4200, it is a plane channel. Thanks, JD |
