Hi, I use K-E turbulent model with standard wall fonctions and I need to adapt my grid by using Y+ or Y* , my problem is that the cells in some regions are so small and they are marked for croasening but they don't change after y+ adaptation use, can you help me? thanks.

hi, it is not my cup of tea, however, Fluent may marked the original grid for coarsening and I know that the original mesh cannot be coarsed.

Thank you for your answer, but it's really illogical to have the option of coarsening and can not use it, so I will use a large cell mesh and refine it, I hope the Y+ adaptation will work in this case.

so, I was right? You have tried to coarse the parent mesh? If yes, then your problem should dissappear with using coarser mesh as parent one.
