I have designed a turbine blade using GAMBIT,and analyze it using FLUENT.It is placed in air, which is moving with some velocity.
Question:- How to find out the speed with which the blade rotates, when the inlet air is given an intial velocity. What is the procedure. Is it possible in FLuent. if any software.pls let me know. Boundary region is circular. Outlet is pressure. |

Hi,
As I see ur problem as a rigid body placed in the air like a ball or a tree and when u solve it using fluent it tells u how the fluid flow across the body only it does not rotate the body. If you want to study the flow through a turbine or a wind mill u should give the rotational velocity to the blade as input u cant extract it from the fluid flow behaviour check what exactly u want to do |
