Hi !
I want to run Fluent 6.3.26 on our computer (SUN X4600, 8 * AMD opteron Dual core 64bit <=> 16 computational nodes) which is not a cluster. The OS is Linux64 and the file batch is SGE. The problem is that when you submit more than one parallel job at the same time, the jobs use always the same fist processors !! Ex : if I submit 2 jobs on 8 procs, only 8 procs are used with 50% and the other 8 procs are free !!! I heard that it is a bug of Fluent 6.3.... Is someone knows how to fix this problem ? Thank you. Ps : this bug seems to be fixed on 6.4.11 version...but it's a beta version... |

hello Thierry, search this forum for "Parallel with 2 processors dual-core" and you will find the workaround.

The link to the series of message with one of the solutions should be here: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forum/flue...cgi?read=53258
Another option is to get fluent6.3.35 from your distributor - this also has a fix for the problem. regards |
