Hi,
I am analysing fluid flow through a urinary catheter. Which fluent solving scheme would be most suited to this problem. Kindest regards |

Need more information:
Reynolds number? Bore diameter? Steady state/ transient? etc ... |

steady state, laminar flow, bore diameter = 3.1 mm.
Have tried first and second order, First proves closer to expected results. I am targeting flow rates through a pressure outlet at the bottom of the catheter, both first and second order verify and conform to expected reults obtained in benchmarking. But when trying varying parameters for new designs, first and second provide different results. |

Do a mesh independence study. Make sure you adaquately resolve the boundary layer.
Generally 2nd order spatial discretisation should give more accurate results. |
