Hi, I have a problem in imposing boundary conditions for open channel model via journal file (and in TUI mode too).
1) I define the VOF - Open Channel model /define/models/multiphase/vof 2 explicit 0.25 no yes yes 2) I define my inlet as pressure inlet: /define/boundary-conditions/modify-zone/zone-type inlet pressure-inlet 3) I try to define the open channel boundary conditions: /define/boundary-conditions/pressure-inlet (inlet) zone id/name [inlet] inlet (mixture water air) domain id/name [mixture] mixture Open Channel [no] yes Use Profile for Gauge Total Pressure? [no] no Gauge Total Pressure (pascal) [0] 0 Use Profile for Supersonic/Initial Gauge Pressure? [no] no Supersonic/Initial Gauge Pressure (pascal) [0] 0 Direction Specification Method: Direction Vector [no] no Direction Specification Method: Normal to Boundary [yes] yes Turbulent Specification Method: K and Epsilon [yes] no Turbulent Specification Method: Intensity and Length Scale [no] no Turbulent Specification Method: Intensity and Viscosity Ratio [no] yes Turbulent Intensity (%) [10] 2 Turbulent Viscosity Ratio [10] 10 why after the setting "Open Channel [no] yes" fluent asks me input for the Gauge pressure? 4)If I try the command a second time fluent ask me the correct thing: : /define/boundary-conditions/pressure-inlet (inlet) zone id/name [inlet] inlet (mixture water air) domain id/name [mixture] mixture Open Channel [yes] yes Inlet Group ID [1] 1 Secondary Phase for Inlet: water [yes] yes Flow Specification Method: Free Surface Level and Velocity [yes] yes Free Surface Level (m) [0] 0 Bottom Level (m) [0] -4 Use Profile for Velocity Magnitude? [no] no Velocity Magnitude (m/s) [0] 5 Direction Specification Method: Direction Vector [no] no Direction Specification Method: Normal to Boundary [yes] yes Turbulent Specification Method: K and Epsilon [no] no Turbulent Specification Method: Intensity and Length Scale [no] no Turbulent Specification Method: Intensity and Viscosity Ratio [yes] yes Turbulent Intensity (%) [2] 2 Turbulent Viscosity Ratio [10] 10 5) When I start the simulation I have a SEGMENTATION VIOLATION error, probably for the double imposition of B.C. /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26[0xdbd48b] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26[0xdbd3e1] /lib64/tls/libpthread.so.0[0x36ccc0c430] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(Compute_Node_Weights+0xd2)[0x6c62b4] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(Node_Scalar_Boundary_Reconstruct+0x7 d)[0x6c5d45] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(Set_Channel_Froud_Number_twophase+0x 1f9)[0xa20edb] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(Update_Open_Channel_Parameters+0x8d)[0xa20291] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(Update_Physical_Time+0x5d3)[0x5706af] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26[0x5c1f31] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval+0x773)[0xe02043] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval+0x860)[0xe02130] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval+0x460)[0xe01d30] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval+0x49a)[0xe01d6a] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26[0xe0337c] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval_errprotect+0x32)[0xe02d12] /usr/local/Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/lnamd64/3ddp/fluent.6.3.26(eval+0x860)[0xe02130] Error: fluent.6.3.26 received a fatal signal (SEGMENTATION VIOLATION). Error Object: #f Done. () Can anyone help me? I'm trying to write a journal file for my simulation but i can't solve this error. Thanks in advance Matteo |
