I am modelling the gas-solid interaction in flighted rotary dryer. I am looking at how the modelling the process. I found difficult to conceptualize the modelling strategy. The dryer is cylindrical shell that has internal flights for lifting and dropping the solids in the presence of gas flowing either countercurrent or co-current. Please advise how best to model this. I want to look at the gas-solids interaction in the dryer.

Expecting your prompt assistance

Jane
