Could somebody please give information on how to generate a wave in fluent or point to some internet site or publication that explains the way? Thanks.

Generally there are two ways to generate waves in Fluent. 1. Using UDF to define the type of wave you like e.g. linear wave theory etc 2. Using a sloshing motion via MDM in fluent. The first option is far simpler.
