We have recently bought two new Dell PC's, here are the specs:
Precision 490: Quad Intel Xeon 5160 (3GHz, 1333MHz FSB,4MB cache) 4x2GB Memory NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450 - 256 MB Win XP 64 bit We have two of these. We chose it because we needed more ram and because of the high FSB. We spent around 3300 Euro for one. It works very good in parallel on one machine and also on two seperate machines. The graphics are also good. BR Kasper |

Are you satisfied with the Quad core ? and how is the scaling ? Some time ago I heard that the scaling with the Quad core was not very good, but I would like to hear your experience. Regards Jan
