Urgent Help Needed!

Hello all,
I'm dealing with an urgent project of conjugate heat sink analysis. I'm done meshing the heat sink but having big trouble meshing ambient air domain (I think that's due to the complex geometry of the heat sink). I was wondering if anyone here is willing to give me a hand to look at the file. Thank you! Ken |

Hi Ken Adams,
For complex geometry, better you can do the surface meshing in gambit or another meshing software and do the volume mesh in TGrid. Tgrid is more robust and it has good element handling options comparing to gambit. Hope it will help you, with warm regards, JSM |

Hello JSM,
Thank you for your reply. I'm using Tgrid to deal with the air volume meshing. But the meshing can not go thru initialization (I tried auto meshing) because some nodes can not be meshed. So any furthur suggestions? Thank you, Ken |

Hi Ken Adams,
I cannot understand your words in last reply. "because some nodes can not be meshed" What is the reason. Do You have good surface mesh with finer in the complex zone? For surface mesh, try to reduce the skewness less than 0.50. Then do the volume mesh. with warm regards, JSM |
