Boundary layer meshing

I have a 2-d model. When i m trying to give a boundary layer mesh, this is the error i m getting
"The available length of the adjoining edge is less than the total depth of the boundary layer" can anybody tell me wht it means... Pls help me thanks in advance |

It means
a+...+a*(x)^(n-1) > L a, size of first layer x, increasing factor n, number of boundary layers L, 'length of the adjoining edge' so, decrease either a, x or n. |
