An other simple way to get the residuals is to type
/plot/residuals-set/plot-to-file “res_file_name.txt”
You will get all the residuals stored in memory (same as used for plots in Fluent's GUI)

To write out the residuals from fluent, the following two steps in TUI are recommended to follow:
1. /plot/residuals-set/plot-to-file “res_file_name.txt”
2. /plot/residuals

Then the residuals selected will be written out to the specified file. Details about the iteration interval might be set with commands under /plot/residuals-set.

Does any one how to write the residuals when the simulation is running? I am running in HPC and I want to plot this residuals on the fly.
