Heat transfer in helically tube

Hi!
I try to obtain the temperature profile of a fluid in a helically-coiled tube, but the requirement of PCU time and memory are a lot. I want to know if it is possible to divide the pipe in small sections, and the final temperature of the every section to use it for the initial temperature of the next section. But this mains that each initial temperature is an average value of the final temperature of the front part? Or I can to fix different temperatures for each node? Thanks for your help |

If you are trying to model a long region and want to submodel, I would suggest you create overlapping regions between adjacent sections. For instance, if section 1 traversed axially from 0.0-1.0, you may want to create section 2 which traverses axially from 0.9-2.0, and section 3 which traverses from 1.9-3.0. In this way, you can effectively cascade an analysis flow field from section 1-2-3 but writing (post-prosessing a *.profs file) at the interior overlapping sections. By cross-mapping, you can all but eliminate the inherent inaccuracies of the section boundary surfaces. Hope this helps!
