I'm using nonconformal grid in a Fluent case. It worked when I was using one single computer, but failed when I tried to put them into parallel calculation. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?
Thanks so much. |

Hi,
If memory serves, the problem has to do with the segmentation of the mesh for parallel distribution across a non-conformal boundary. Fluent 6.3 does this properly, I think, but 6.2 had issues. If you're trying this under fluent 6.3, I think a little more information about your specific case would help in determining the difficulty. This can be made to work under Fluent 6.2, but I think you need to carefully segment the mesh such that either the entire non-conformal interface is within one chunk of the mesh, or that the mesh segments perfectly match the non-conformal interface. I may be off on this-- somebody please correct me if I am. Hope this helps... Andy |

Hey, Jai Why are you so shameless? Can you not understand that nobody is going to teach you CFD. There is a lot of resources in the internet for learning. Just search and read those materials or take a course on CFD in your institute. As a Lecturer, don't humiliate yourself.
