Hi. I need some help about a CFD problem. I am doing a project, which involves the study of fluid flow effect on the surrounding boundaries and vice versa leading to a cycle in turn. This means that the CFD problem has the fluid flow and solid body motion solved simultaneously. The fluid flow influences the motion of the solid body, while the solid body motion influence the fluid flow. Can this be solved using any of the current available versions of FLUENT? Currently, I know that in FLUENT solver, the motion of the solid body is fixed arbitrarily and then we find the fluid flow field. But in actual situation, the fluid flow field will influence the solid body motion and in turn influences the fluid flow. I know that such an option is available in CFX but couldn't find any such thing in FLUENT.Please help me whether i can solve for fluid structure interaction (the fluid affect solid body motion, solid body motion affect fluid. But are solved simultaneously) using FLUENT. If yes then i would also like to know the procedure.

Thanks in Advance

regards

You can also try doing this using udf capability if you have just rigid body motion or simple structural deformations in your problem.
