hI.. I want to know what BC n fluent that gives the suction and blowing effects.
I want to simulate an airfoil with suction and blowing part. Thanks |

Blowing --- Total Presure Inlet or Mass Flow Inlet Suction --- Static Pressure Outlet or Mass flow Inlet with flow vector orientation pointing out of fluid volume.
Hope I understood your question correctly. |

Hi glenn, thanks for your answer.
I tried both but then when I read the case file in fluent, the grid check was failed. I use pressure inlet as the forward BC of the air doamain (surrounding the airfoil) and pressure outler as the rear BC. Fluent said that there are 2 adjacent cells of the pressure inlet. I tried other BC and it seems that fluent only accept fan, interior, porous jump, radiator and wall for an object inside the domain. which one is the best? have you had any experience on it? thanks |

I tried many times to this in FLuent but never succeded. I wanted to model the transpiration. Let me know if you discover how to do that. Regards Luca
