Default Evaporation of water... help needed!!

Dear all,

I am stuck with the following problem: I have a 2d slab filled with water and i m supplying a constant heat flux at one of its edge. As heat penetrates inside, the water should evaporate and get converted to vapor. I define it as a multiphase model and use the UDF DEFINE_HET_RXN_RATE {http://www.fluentusers.com/fluent6326/doc/ori/html/udf/node56.htm}

I have tried using VOF/mixture models as they suit my purpose. I define phase I as air+water vapor(primary phase) and phase II as water liquid. In the interation panel ...I define a reaction phase 2 (water liquid)----->phase1 water vapor.

When i define the reaction rate function as none..it does not solve for the species balance. When i give that as population balance (as no other option is available) it gives the error:

Error: > (greater-than) : invalid argument [2]: wrong type [not a number] Error Object: nan

I don't know what to do..I have looked at all previous discussion regarding evaporation on the forum but can't get how to simulate this. I would appreciate any help in this.

Thanks a lot!!! _________________ Regards, Arpit
