I am checking a 2D cylinder, then, the pressure coefficient at the stagnation is more than 1.
Anyone can give a comment and how to overcome it, thanks in advance. |

Set the reference values correctly.

Thanks Joe!
I set: Area = Frontal area, density and visous are properties of the used fluid, depth =1, Length = Diameter, Veolity = free-stream. Is that correct and enough? |

I had the same problem before, for me the reference parameters were correct as well (check for your reference pressure), then I move the boundaries far from wall, atleast 20 times the cylinder diameter, before they were 10 times. then it was OK. A value of around 1.05-1.07 is accepted in fluent as it cant predict pressure well at stagnation.
