Drag and lift with perturbed flow

Hi all,
I understand that sometimes we need to give perturbation to the flow to trigger vortex shedding. My question is, will this perturbation have an effect on Cd and Cl? Will we get the same Cd and Cl even without perturbation. I am more interested in the Cd and Cl not so much on vortex sheddiing. Thanks. Sham. |

Clearly the Cd and Cl of a non shedding and shedding case are going to be different. Perturbation shouldnt be needed for a well configured case.
