Default computing combusion with the segregated method

Hello, Does anyone have experience of comuting combustion with the segregate method? I'm now computing the combustion a liquid droplet. But the coupled method can't be used together with VOF model. Ideal gas is used in the simulation, so the pressure should be strongly coupled with the density. This will cause serious problem of convergency. Could anyone give me some suggestion? I used dual time stepping method. Will it help to improve the convergency?

Thank you, Jin
