Hi all;

has someone read this tutorial : Horizontal film boiling

I have a imporatant question . Why should I set a source term for VOF of primary phase (gas)using UDF? We know VOF for primary phase is calculated due to this relation : VOF of primary phase = 1- VOF of secondary phase ;

therefore What we really need is that we solve VOF equation only for secondary phase with regarding to its source term and then gain VOF for primary phase using the upper relation. Isn't it ?

I am appreciated everybody help me in this case.

Thankx a lot.

i am simulating film boiling a round cylinder with VOF method in ansys fluent. even I succeed simulate film boiling for two fluid with near densities. but when i impose water vapor and water liquid properties the the film vapor around the cylinder break and some piece of vapor move to upward and vapor film disappear. someone say i should change my pressure reference location. but i did this too and it didn't result. can anyone help me?
