Hi, I'm using fluent to do some particle tracking in a 3-d model. I am injecting particles from a surface. Any idea how I can make the particles distribution totally random along the surface with different particles diameters? thanks a lot!

I understand I can use Rosin-Rammler with the parameters dbar and n, but I was wondering if I select surface injection with Rosin-Rammler, how these different diameters will be distributed among the nodes in the surface? Let's say I have a circle as the surface of injection. The diameters will be ditributed randomely inside the circle or it will be a uniform distribution?

Thanks a lot!

The best way for you to answer the questions would be try it out. The distribution will be uniform based on some range of parameters - i.e. position, velocity, diameter. For something more exotic, you would have to write your particle generating routine.
