Someone please inform me if there exists a macro which

Give the Zone name given its ID.

Give maximum no of zones present in the Grid or the maximum ID imparted by FLUENT to the zones.

OR

Could someone please suggest any alternate method to obtain the same for FLUENT running in batch mode (without GUI).

You maybe can to get those information by exploring structs defined in /Fluent.Inc/fluent6..../src... However, not to waste your time on that, I strongly recommend you to get those ID values directly from Fluent and use them in your UDF code. You could create for instance jack.inp file having info about all IDs concerning your specific case and read them at the beginning of your computation...

As for batch... running in batch modes you have described here /Fluent.Inc/fluent6.3.26/help/html/ug/node22.htm ... and if you have already noticed you can execute commands not opening menus... to get commands the simplest way for you would be to "start transcript". This makes Fluent to write to file commands you do usually by clicking menus. Then you could use those information to create your script running your case... or get any information that you can get from GUI,
