Calculate heat transfer coefficcient as following: htc = q" / ( Tsurf - Tavg)
Tsurf: Surface temperature Tavg: average fluid temperature q": Wall heat flux You could also compute htc directly from Fluent report: The Surface Integrals panel can also be used to generate a report of averaged heat transfer coefficient h on a surface: Report --> Surface Integrals... In the Surface Integrals panel, choose Area-Weighted Average for Report Type, select Surface Heat Transfer Coef. (in the Wall Fluxes... category) as the Field Variable, and select the surface. You have to use average fluid temperature to calculate the heat transfer coeffcient.... |

my question is the value of heat flux given directly bt fluent is its value is correct since when I calculate the heat flux from q=h*(Tw-Tm) the value is differ from the value get from fluent

Make sure to check the reference values used by FLUENT to calculate HF. The default temperature is 288.15K. See report->reference..
