hi,

am presently simulating methane air mixture combustion in a model combustor problem...its non-premixed diffusion case...the domain is similar to example in tutor files.....

the case is converged and the temp are around 2370k....can any one tell how to consider the radiation effects in this modelling.....

as per the domain p1,dtrm and DO models can b considered...so please tell me how to set the radiation models......

Dear venkat,

go through the fluent manual you will get some clear idea. as per you rdomain use DO model which is applicable to all domains but it is computationally expesive. P1 model is used when opticle thickness is >1. all the best.

hi thank u ssj,

i hav tried but not getting idea how to start...i found only theory abt those models...but not step by step procedure....

and let me know one more thing...do i hav to set the radiation on from the starting of simulation...that is right from first iteration after reading the mesh file in fluent...

.......presently i hav converged the case....and the temp is 2370 for methane air combustion...equivalence ratio is one...can u comment abt this result.....plz help me as early as possible.......thanks in advance

(the problem is non-premixed diffusion flames)

bye venkat
