how to make grid in gambit?

hi i m working on single phase flow in packed bed. but i m not able to make grid in gambit. can anybody suggest me how to make grid in gambit.
the specifications are dia of packed bed id 46mm od 50mm dia of packing spheres 28mm |

I would prefer it if you posted messages rather than sending to my personal email.
For complex geometries try using the tgrid scheme to create a mesh.(In gambit rather than the tgrid program) For a better mesh you want to split the large complex geometry into smaller simpler ones. You can use the cooper tool to extrude 2d meshes through a 3d volume, resulting in a very good quality mesh. This however takes experience and it depends how much you need to learn grid generation. For cooper extrusion, learn to use the link face meshes function to link the source faces. You need to look at the tutorials descriptions and user guide yourself and decide which ones would help you rather than asking others to do your work. Everyone who has cfd experience had to gradually work at it. ALSO DO RELEVANT FLUENT TUTORIALS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR MESH SHOULD CONTAIN/ BE LIKE. hope this helps. |
