error during UDF compilation

when i compile the UDF, that donot get connected. and during that i receive error: unable to open udf file. my question is khow to rectify this?
this is also with the tutorial that is given in fluent help. i am using fluent 6.2.16 version. does this a version problem? thanks in advance regards, mvee |

If u're using the XP version, install visual c++ 2005; and I recommend u to compile from a ms-dos prompt, not directly in fluent.

i have turbo c and borland c compiler. does these compilers are not sufficient?

Actually they're not... You're not just compiling a stand alone c program! In your UDF u've utilized Fluent's macros contained in udf.h or in others *.h Fluent's files; so your compiler must contain utilities to link them. I think there are also some others functionalities of the visual c++ compiloer that are strictly needed to compile UDFs...
