Hi,
I have to simulate an Porous outlet (which simply a rectangle ). I have thinking to define the porous media feature (as I read in some mails in the forum) but the problem I can't define a thin volume in front of my outlet whihc would act as the porous media. I was thinking to define the outlet as an "exhaust fan" . Can be it used with an inlet_velocity ?. This outlet is filtering 40% of the flow , How should I set the pressure jump ? Thx for any help PK |

You should be able to create the porous continum zone in Gambit for the filter, and specify a pressure drop. Then just take the two faces which would exist around the porous zone and group this together into another fluid continum zone.
