I am simulating a dilute particle-laden free gas jet(volume fraction 0.0001). The domain is axisymmetric, and the pressure outlet boundary conditions for outer BCs. I plotted the axial velocity distribution for solid phase along the radial distance. There is discontinuity near the boundary of the jet. however, if i used outflow bs, it is smooth, but the convergence is not quite good. Do you have any idea on it? I really appreciate if you can help me.

By the way, the velocity profile for gas phase is very good. Refining the grid makes no difference. Do you think it is caused by truncation error?
