I dont have idea about Ansys-CFX FSI manual. But you can find MpCCI(Interface package between Ansys - and Fluent for FSI simulation) tutorial manuals if you have MpCCI license.

You cant do Fluent-Ansys coupling without MpCCI license.

I have done FSI with Fluent + Abaqus using the MpCCI interface (an additional license-fee). It was not something you do over a coffee-break ;-). Contact me if you if you are interest in any details, regards Jonas

For FSI using CFX + Ansys u can have a look at both CFX and Ansys manual.More details are found in Ansys manual.FSI calculations are made through Ansys product launcher that comes when you by Ansys. This launcher works as the interface between ansys and CFX. No additional license is required except, offcourse CFX and ansys license are must. As far as i know there is no such interfacefor fluent and ansys.

Regards, Rajan

Dear Rajan,

This is not true..

MpCCI is acting as a Interface Package for

Fluent-Abaqus, Fluent-Ansys, StarCD-A, and A

coupling...

Hi Jonas,

I know that this post was from a long time ago, however I do not think there is a harm in trying.
I am currently learning Abaqus to couple it with Fluent, Fluent-MpCCI-Abaqus.
I am trying to simulate flexible (deformable) flapping wing, as in insects or bird.
I have managed to run the rigid case in Fluent, and now moving to flexible wings.
I have doubt on how to define the motion of the wing in Abaqus.
Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
ST

Hi
have you been successful to incorporate in implementing the wing motion in Abaqus?
Are you using implicit or explicit?
I am working on similar approach but with Ansys

Cheers
